DENTIST FOR CHILDREN

January 14, 2023 249 people Latest news

Before a child is even born, their teeth start to erupt. The lower central incisors are the first primary, or baby teeth, to break through the gums. The upper central incisors, which erupt four months after birth, follow these closely. Although by the time a child is three years old, most of their twenty primary teeth have erupted, the rate and sequence of eruption differ from child to child. Around age six, the first permanent teeth appear. The lower central incisors and first molars are where it starts. This process lasts until a person is about 21 years old. Adults have 28 permanent teeth, or as many as 32 if you count the third molars (wisdom teeth). After birth, oral care should start right away. After feeding, you should always brush your baby's gums. Use a clean, damp cloth or gauze pad to wipe your gums. A soft, moist toothbrush and a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste should be used by parents to brush their children's teeth every day. To ensure that children develop good brushing habits, supervision is required when brushing young children.
